Starting in 1987 we brought together a small team of executives who had previously worked for larger companies in production, marketing, finance, and general management. This team also had experience in company doctoring, business sales, mergers and acquisitions with public listed companies and large private companies, across a wide range of industrial and service enterprises. No business broker or accounting firms in Australia offered the scope and depth of practical business sales experience which Jamieson brought to advising the proprietors of medium sized private businesses. Our team also has hands-on experience as consultants to, as well as owners and managers of, trading businesses. This provides highly practical knowledge to draw upon in advising clients in relation to business sales, mergers, acquisitions and valuations. Jamieson is selective in the business sales and acquisition projects it accepts and aims to work on only a small number of substantial projects at any time. This selectivity allows us to provide a depth of analysis and quality of presentation of information for business sales, mergers and acquisitions superior to other business brokers and accounting firms covering the same areas of the market. Feedback from business buyers and sellers confirms the high standard of information presentation we seek to provide is achieved in our assignments. It also allows a concentration of high-level professional skills on each project so that successful business sales are achieved in an agreed time frame. Jamieson consults with its client throughout the business sale or acquisition process to ensure continuous communication of the status of each project. Jamieson always provides meaningful business value estimates as an initial step in the process before owners decide whether to sell a business. Buyers also like us to advise on fair market values before committing to an acquisition under consideration. Preliminary business appraisals are generally offered without charge. Each active principal is licensed as a business broker and we operate under the auspices of the NSW Department of Fair Trading. Jamieson is also a member of the Australian Institute of Business Brokers (AIBB) and the Real Estate Institute of NSW (REINSW).

This office was first opened in April of 2001, starting out no permanent rental or sales listings (opening up a new office) and initially trading as David Preston Real Estate. In those early days David Preston earnt a solid reputation in delivering results for owners and personal attention for owners that chose to manage or sell their property through this office. During those first few years David has his father help staff the office when he had appointments. In 2005 Romana Preston decided to take long service leave from her 35 years at Banora Point School and joined us as the Office Salesperson. John Preston left us, finally starting enjoying his retirement. Romana's personal attention and her pleasant manner produced strong business growth and in 2006 went from a part time salesperson position to a full time position. The following year the business was renamed Kingscliff Sales and Rentals. Romana dedicated herself to the job of sales and between 2005 and 2011 sold nearly 200 properties. Romana was sadly diagnosed with ovarian cancer and passed away in May 2012. She is missed so very much We strive to market properties as best we can. We go to extreme lengths to showcase them, using quality cameras and lighting to produce the best possible images, using photoshop and other photo programs to ensure they offer the best viewing experience online and in promotional material. In 2011 we started property video production and we do this for rentals, sales and holiday lettings. No other agent in this area shows this sort of dedication to property promotion. It wasnt until later in 2020 during COVID that agents who werent using video found out they had to. These videos are produced through a youtube channel and embedded into our website. Whilst the majority of offices charge for property photography and videography our office treats it as a complimentary service for exclusive sale properties and exclusive properties under management In 2017 due to change in laws we became licensed and insured drone operators and today we have an extensive drone photographic and video library that we use in our property promotion. We moved office in 2012 into much bigger premises located at 2/110 Marine Parade Kingscliff which is fully air conditioned. Kingscliff Sales and Rentals continues being an independant agency as David Preston feels that personal reputation is very important in this business and continues trading as an Independant Agency and not a franchised office. This office is a member of the Real Estate Institute of New South Wales. These days we have 6 office staff and staff member working remotely off site. We, as an office today strive to offer to clients the best possible professional and personal service with quality photography and videography in marketing for a competitive fee without all the add-ons that the other agents have.

Selling a business is the most significant financial event in an owner’s life. To navigate it successfully, you need more than just a local agent; you need the power of the world’s largest business brokerage network behind you. LINK Business Brokers Sydney is the premier engine for business transactions in New South Wales. Leading the market with over $25 million in monthly SME transactions and a history exceeding $1 billion in total sales, we are the definitive partner for business owners who demand results, confidentiality, and premium service. As Sydney’s largest business brokerage, we combine the personalized care of a boutique firm with the sheer firepower of a global network. With 35+ local specialists on the ground in NSW and a wider network of 230+ brokers across Australia and New Zealand, we do not just list businesses; we market them to a database of over 250,000 active buyers. Whether you are selling a local café in the Inner West, a manufacturing plant in Western Sydney, or a multi-million dollar corporate enterprise, LINK NSW has the specialist expertise to maximize your exit value.   Global Reach. Sydney Expertise. The LINK advantage lies in our unique structure. We are a locally owned and operated powerhouse backed by global infrastructure. Under the leadership of Managing Director Mark Jason, LINK Sydney has set the standard for professional business sales in the state. Mark brings over two decades of transaction experience and a team culture defined by excellence. This local leadership ensures we understand the specific economic drivers of the Sydney market—from the North Shore to the Southern Suburbs and into Regional NSW. However, our reach does not stop at the state border. As part of the world’s largest business brokerage, we have the capacity to connect Sydney sellers with international investors, migrants, and interstate buyers that smaller agencies simply cannot reach.   The LINK Advantage: VALU.LINK One of the most critical errors sellers make is incorrect pricing. Price too high, and the business stagnates. Price too low, and you leave your hard-earned equity on the table. At LINK, we remove the guesswork with VALU.LINK, our award-winning proprietary appraisal tool. Using real-time data from thousands of sold businesses across our global network, we provide accurate, market-based appraisals that stand up to scrutiny. We don't just guess what your business is worth; we prove it. This data-driven approach gives you the confidence to enter negotiations with a solid foundation, ensuring you achieve the best possible price.   Industry Specialists, Not Generalists Business is not generic, and neither are we. You wouldn't ask a GP to perform heart surgery, so why ask a generalist broker to sell your specialized asset? With a team of over 35 brokers, LINK Sydney is large enough to house dedicated specialists for every major industry. We match your business with a broker who speaks your language and understands your sector's specific valuation metrics. Our Specialized Divisions Include: Corporate & Enterprise: Handling high-value transactions ($2M - $50M) with sophisticated deal structuring. Medical & Healthcare: Specialists in medical centers, dental practices, and allied health. Hospitality: Experts in cafes, restaurants, bars, and clubs who understand lease terms and fit-out value. Service Stations & Automotive: Navigating the complex environmental and franchise aspects of fuel and auto businesses. Childcare & Education: Brokers who understand occupancy rates and government regulations. Construction & Services: Valuation of contracts, WIP, and plant & equipment.   A Complete End-to-End Solution Selling a business is complex. It involves marketing, vetting, negotiation, legal frameworks, and financial due diligence. LINK Sydney provides a comprehensive service that manages every step of the journey, allowing you to focus on running your business while we handle the sale. 1. Preparation & Valuation We prepare your business for sale, identifying value drivers and potential hurdles early. 2. Targeted Marketing We utilize premium marketing packages that present your business professionally to our database and the wider market. 3. Buyer Vetting We act as a firewall. We screen potential buyers to ensure they are qualified and serious before they ever learn your business's name. 4. Negotiation & Deal Structuring We fight for your price. Our brokers are trained in advanced negotiation strategies to secure favorable terms, not just a high price. 5. Settlement Support We coordinate with your accountants and solicitors to ensure the deal crosses the line smoothly.   Uncompromising Confidentiality We understand that silence is golden. The premature release of a sale announcement can unsettle staff, spook suppliers, and alert competitors. At LINK Sydney, confidentiality is our currency. We use strict Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs) and vetted processes to ensure your sensitive commercial data is protected. You can trust us to market your business aggressively to buyers while keeping your identity private until the right moment.   Why Sydney Business Owners Choose LINK The numbers speak for themselves. With $2.4 billion in active listing value and over 700 business sales annually across the network, we are the first choice for owners who want certainty.
