About this business
In the broker's words
Full description, as written by the brokerRevenue up 153% to $418K, PEBITDA of $70K and a waitlist in place - the owner manages only, with all therapy delivered by the team.
This paediatric and young-adult occupational therapy practice operates across Brisbane on a fully mobile model, delivering therapy in homes, schools, kindergartens and the community, with telehealth for clients further away. Established in 2023 by a senior occupational therapist, it serves children and young people aged 0 to 25, mainly autistic children and those with ADHD, and supports emotion regulation, daily living skills, executive function and the transition through high school. Revenue rose from $165,413 in FY2025 to $418,069 in FY2026, and $178,591 was invoiced in the first 16 weeks of FY2027. Average monthly appointments increased from 57 to 191 over the same period. Normalised earnings (PEBITDA) were $70,375 in FY2026 and $41,170 in the first 16 weeks of FY2027, with the margin improving from 16.8% to 23.1%. The owner manages the business and does not practise clinically; the caseload is delivered by four occupational therapists and a therapy assistant, supported by an administration officer and fortnightly clinical supervision, and the practice runs on a cloud-based practice management platform linked to Xero. A waitlist is in place, so additional therapists convert directly into revenue. The practice has passed its NDIS registration audit, opening it to agency-managed participants as well as plan-managed, self-managed, Medicare and private clients.

- NDIS registration audit passed, opening the practice to agency-managed participants.
- Client records, calendars, reports and invoicing held in a practice management platform linked to Xero.
- Referral relationships with school inclusion teams and kindergartens; advertising spend of $3,334 in FY2026 - clear marketing upside.
The vendor will provide a one-month handover covering clients, referral relationships, team supervision, systems and NDIS processes. The team is expected to remain with the business on their existing arrangements; two therapists are engaged as contractors. The price includes goodwill, the trading name and online presence, client relationships and records (subject to privacy requirements), practice management records and calendars, and assessment kits and therapy resources. Cash and debtors are retained by the vendor, and the accounting file is not transferred, with reports provided to the purchaser. The current office and storage arrangement ends in December 2026 and can be relocated, as therapy is delivered in the community. Vendor finance is not available.
The practice suits an occupational therapist ready to own an established caseload and team, an allied health or disability services provider adding a paediatric occupational therapy service in Brisbane, or a group seeking a mobile, community-based model to expand. It combines strong growth in revenue and appointments, a diversified funding base and a waitlist that allows new therapists to build a caseload quickly.
