The Pastacup brand was launched in March 2008 by its founders, Stuart Bernstein and Siri Solumsmoen with the opening of the flagship franchise pilot store in Melville, Western Australia. At the same time, the re-branding of the then-called Italy Home Made to Pastacup North Perth was completed.
