At Kip McGrath Caulfield South we plan and implement English and math programs which are individually tailored to the needs of each student, offering remediation, consolidation & extension learning in numeracy and literacy from Foundation through to Year 10. Reluctantly selling due to a change in family commitments. Since taking over in 2019, we have seen steady growth in online & in centre tuition & established a great reputation in the local area. There is always a demand for tutoring as students fall behind & parents want to provide the best opportunities for their child. Our centre is located in an affluent area with families who can afford private tuition. The business has capacity to grow to 200 centre lessons a week with unlimited growth opportunities for online lessons.
Are you interested in a change from the classroom with flexibility to work remotely? There is much better work-life balance than teaching. The owner currently works from home for a couple of hours in the morning, which is completely flexible, comes into work between 2:00pm or 3:30pm. Potentially only coming in 3 days a week next term. 50% of our students are online and 50% attend lessons from our centre. The work is more rewarding than classroom teaching as we predominantly work with parents to catch up students who are behind. Our staff consist of VIT registered primary and secondary teachers.

Head Office allocate you to a Business Development Manager who helps with questions and guides you on how to grow your business. An external payroll provider organises payroll. You have ongoing support from the marketing & finance teams. Important software is provided including:

- Xero for financial management
- Access to marketing templates
- Lesson planning software with built in curriculum for efficient lesson planning (iKip)
- Online Lesson software (iKip)
Tutor Responsibilities:
- Tutoring math &/or English to a group of 3-5 students
- Planning using our curriculum
- Parent feedback
- Adhering to Child Safe Policies
- Set-up, pack-up and cleaning
Owner's Responsibilities:
- Tutoring (see above)
- Recruiting & training staff
- Rostering
- Liaising with agencies to update policies
- Enrolling new students & setting up payments on our automated payment system (cashless)

Located on Hawthorn Road near the corner of Glen Huntly Road. We are on the main road in front of Caulfield Primary School. Parking is available on Hawthorn Road or Cedar Street along the primary school. There are many local schools in the area.
Marketing support
There is ongoing marketing support through Kip McGrath Head Office. They have a marketing team which do national advertising on the TV, radio, internet etc. You can contact them anytime for them to put together a local ad for your centre.
The centre is already fit out with Kip McGrath signage and approved furniture.
Training provided
Yes, training is provided. The seller pays for the buyer's training at Kip McGrath Head Office. In-person and/or remote support, including handover, is organised between the seller and buyer.
You will have a Business Development Manager at Kip McGrath Head Office who is there to support you. You can also contact other Kip McGrath centre owners for support. There are experienced staff at the Kip McGrath Caulfield South Centre who can help train you and support the transition.
