DA Approval
With the continued growth of Bungendore and surrounding regions BRural has undertaken a 2-year process of obtaining DA approval to allow an expansion of the premises to accommodate this growth.

• An increase in the current retail offer from 706.9m2 to 1,495.9m2;

• a new, highly visible portico entrance way;

• Australian Standard approved fire suppression including storage tanks, pumps and hydrants;

• seal for all high traffic surfaces within the yard with concrete or bitumen, excluding the landscape yard (to allow turning of large vehicles without pavement damage). This will dramatically reduce dust and mud on the site;

• an upgraded traffic management plan within the yard to allow a higher volume of traffic without compromising safety and provide greater ease for customer to access products;

• a single point of exit for the bulk materials yard which the new owner may choose to be fitted with a boom gate;

• improved stormwater drainage on the site, removing mud and pools of water;

• a purpose-built undercover bulk storage area for palletised product and building materials such as timber and gyprock;

• the bulk storage area will be separated from the retail space by a full height internal wall, sealing out dust and noise for a cleaner, easier to maintain retail environment;

• a purpose-built goods received station will streamline the entry of product into the store, keeping it separate from customers. This will incorporate a dedicated customer order storage area, close to the retail POS stations to allow quick and efficient fulfilment of customer orders;

• installation of roller doors on the large rear storage shed to protect stock stored in this area and provide a cleaner more professional look;

• completion of the vehicle wash down bay and trade waste disposal system to allow environmentally responsible cleaning of company vehicles and customers equipment in for service or repair;

• installation of additional onsite storm water storage tanks and pumping system to utilise rainwater for non-potable irrigation, toilet flushing and vehicle wash down;

• installation of a Tesla Power Wall to complement the existing solar panels and provide night-time power for operation of lights, servers and refrigeration. This will also supply emergency power in the event of blackouts, enabling the business to continue to trade.
