The Opportunity

This Aged Care Support Business has been providing Physiotherapy service for nearly 10 years to contracted aged care clients across Sydney.

The business has numerous service contracts with multiple residential aged care facilities and a few wellness centres. Each service contract specifies designated service provisions per week (either by hour or by treatment) at agreed rates for either one or two-year terms, that renew automatically upon their anniversary date. As the Australian population continues to age, aged care service providers are increasingly in demand and this is a sector that shows excellent opportunities for growth.

Healthcare professional such as physiotherapists are recruited via advertising or recruitment agencies to fulfill these service contracts and are managed by team leaders and clinical managers.

There are excellent opportunities to expand the scope of the services offered, increase the number of hours of service to current clients and to bring on board new customers both in Sydney or indeed, nationally.

Skills

The current owners are physiotherapists but operate as clinical managers, that oversee decision-making and operations. This is a business that would suit an astute investor or someone with a keen interest in, or experience of, the aged care sector.

Owners are tiring and have accepted the desire to devote more time to young family responsibilities rather than investing more energy, time and money required into growing the business to the next level. With a separate negotiation required to maintain owners for a longer transition period; their preference is for a one to three month handover.
