The Mona Plant System (MPS) is an innovative subterranean irrigation system which was developed in Europe some years ago. Mainstay Business Services Pty Ltd markets the MPS products in Australia under our green-stay trading name www.green-stay.com.au   Mainstay has a number of other business interests as can be seen from our website www.mainstaybusiness.com.au   One of the things we do is help overseas companies establish a presence in Australia.   We are also a registered builder trading under the name of Aitken Homes.   We ordinarily don't take on the distribution of products directly, focussing on helping businesses to find distributors or channels to market.   We made an exception with the MPS products because of the love my wife and I have for gardening and the enormous potential we believe there is for these products in Australia.   Unfortunately due to our workload in the other areas of our business we really haven't been able to devote the time needed to properly market the MPS products or the green-stay trading name – so have decided to sell pretty much at the cost of stock.   We have a small number (handful) of regular customers who generated around $12,000 of revenue for us last financial year at good margins.   What we find is that once people start using this product they come back for more.   Building a bigger customer base would be the key to turning this business into something many times larger and then broadening the products offered i.e. by possibly taking on more of the great products green-tech sells in the UK.

- Rights to the 1300 number

- All current stock (MPS, Plantsava and a small amount of GRB)

- 100 retail stands and signs

- Lots of marketing material, photographs etc and great support from green-tech in the UK

MPS products are suitable for both the professional landscaping industry as well as the home gardener.   The smaller home products are marketed under the Plantsava brand and are sold in clear retail (blister) packs.   As listed above, the sale of the business also includes 100 custom designed retail stands and signs for use by nurseries and retail outlets.   We simply haven't had the time to build a network of nursery / retail outlets.   An article was published in the January 2010 edition of the ABC Gardening magazine talking about Plantsava as "Clever Watering for Pots"
